When Vittorio Anastasio was the Dean of Students, he was directed (while objecting) by the principal to deliver the bad news to Larry Jackson that he was being dismissed from school three months before graduation. Larry was working as an intern at a Radio station, and it was having a negative impact on his attendance. Larry rebounded from the setback by eventually becoming the station programming manager and leading it to the top-rated station in SF. This accomplishment caught the attention of legendary music producer Clive Davis, leading to many future collaborations. Larry went on to great successes in the music industry winning a Grammy award as a producer, being the president of a record company, and he now heads Apple Music programming. Vittorio was able to right a wrong in the past by including Larry in the 2017 graduation ceremony and presenting him with his 1998 high school diploma. Larry also gave an excellent speech. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QS4SdLW_Tts
